🌵 Spring Shows Up Early in Las Vegas (And We All Know It)
If you don’t live here, you probably think spring starts in March.
It doesn’t.
In Las Vegas, spring quietly starts showing up in late February. Not officially. Not dramatically. Just subtly enough that you notice it if you’re paying attention. It’s in the light first. The sun hangs around a little longer. Evenings stretch. You finish dinner and it’s still bright outside, which somehow changes your mood immediately. Then it shows up in the desert. The colors soften. Red Rock looks deeper. If we’ve had any rain at all, you’ll see little hints of green pushing through dirt that looked completely lifeless a few weeks ago. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

Backyards come alive too. People start rearranging patio furniture. Grills get uncovered. That “we should host something soon” energy starts floating around. And here’s the thing most people don’t realize… This is when real estate starts shifting.
Not the loud, competitive spring frenzy yet. Just the early conversations. Buyers start browsing more seriously. Sellers start walking their homes thinking, “If we did list, we’d want to be ready by April.” Landscaping suddenly matters again. Curb appeal feels different when everything is waking up.
Vegas has seasons, they just don’t look like everyone else’s. We don’t measure them by snow or falling leaves. We measure them by patio dinners, longer evenings, desert color, and that feeling that the city is stretching awake again. By the time the rest of the country says spring is here, we’re already in it.
And honestly? That’s one of my favorite parts of living here.
